“I can recommend Diane without reservation if you are looking for an effective coach  to help your leadership team develop stronger skills.”
– Vice President, Human Resources, Mercy Housing

"One specific and important result of our work with Diane is that the leadership circle takes responsibility for holding each other accountable for teamwork. We are much more skilled at conflict management . . . the team members more fully understand each other’s leadership styles and how the varying styles must be considered in working together.”
– Darla Schueth, Executive Director, HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties

Team Development

Are you leading a team of talented individuals who need to channel their energies more productively?

Do you lead a diverse group of people who – if they only knew how – could leverage their collective talents to achieve great things?

Are you in charge of helping your team develop strategic vision, set new goals, and create an action plan for success?

Is there conflict within your work group that is interfering with productivity and success?

Reasons for and Benefits of Team Development

Assessing team function, performance and productivity.

Setting and achieving important team goals.

Improving communication.

Developing new behavioral norms.

Building trust.

 Handling conflict constructively.

Becoming more accountable to one another.

The Process

The team building process begins with an assessment of how the team is currently performing and what they need to develop to become a more highly functioning team. An action plan that is uniquely suited to that team’s needs is created and the work begins. Team building is not an event, but a process, so the work often takes place over several sessions. The process includes built in accountability between sessions so that members of team can try out and assess new working behaviors. The team building continues for as long as the group is making progress on their action plan and seeing the results of their efforts.

Assessments

Diane is certified to administer and interpret the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI), the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)  and the Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI), a 360 degree assessment tool that measures an individual’s EQ. Any one of these tools may be used at some point during the team process, depending on the unique needs of the group.
